Andrew S. Florea, M.D.

Dr. Andrew S. Florea, M.D. is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Doctor. His area of expertise is in the diagnosis and treatment of all diseases and problems of the head and neck--particularly the ears, nose, and throat.
Dr. Florea still raves about the dedication and care his father, also a doctor, afforded patients, but it was the chance to surgically correct problems that drew him to Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He recalls many individuals with severe facial trauma where he meticulously worked to maximize their cosmetic appearance.

After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA, he went on to earn his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2001. There, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a year of general surgery training, followed by a four-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, including facial plastic surgery, at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr. Florea then headed east to complete a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Laryngology. He then served as assistant professor teaching medical students and surgical residents. He has co-authored textbook chapters and publications, and has reviewed medical journal articles prior to publication.

In addition to being a head and neck specialist, Doctor Florea is one of a select few Otolaryngologists who obtained an additional year of fellowship training in Laryngology--the diagnosis and treatment of Voice and Swallowing Disorders- this being done after the completion of his five year surgical subspecialty residency training program.

After bringing expert care in voice and swallowing disorders to the Inland Empire in Southern California, Dr. Florea went on to obtain a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery (an additional sub-specialty of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery) and has performed more than two lifetimes worth of facial plastic surgical procedures in comparison to most plastic or facial plastic surgeons. He has performed almost 10,000 surgical procedures. This extensive experience allows him to custom tailor your procedure to address your specific facial rejuvenation needs.

He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery including Facial Plastic surgery.

When he is not helping patients with voice or swallowing problems or other issues of the ear, nose, or throat, head and neck, Doctor Florea and his wife, a nurse practitioner, are involved with medical mission trips to Romania. They enjoy travel and outdoor activities such as skiing, biking, hiking and surfing.
